Our Approach to Sustainability
The Founder’s Vision
In 1930, when Seino Transportation was founded, the mainstream of freight transport was large-scale bulk transport by rail.
While this system contributed significantly to the overall efficiency of logistics, it was not always able to fully meet the emerging customer needs for the rapid and reliable delivery of individual shipments.
Recognizing these needs, our founder, Rihachi Taguchi, focused on
the potential of truck transportation, which offered greater
flexibility and mobility.
Through persistent efforts and repeated negotiations with government
authorities, he secured a route operating license, enabling our
company to launch Japan's first scheduled long-distance trucking
service.
The founder’s spirit of “Embracing Challenge” created new value through speed and reliability, laying the foundation for the development of truck transportation. Today, truck transportation accounts for approximately 90% of domestic freight transport in Japan.
This represents our origin—a story of addressing social challenges through our transportation business.
The spirit demonstrated by our founder continues to guide our sustainability initiatives, remaining deeply embedded in our corporate culture.
